I tend towards abstraction in my work. My process is improvisational, with the intent to explore color relationships and spatial oddities.
Distorting human-like figures and facial structures allows me to explore the meanings implied by the movement of the body. The ambiguity of my work is intentional. I'm intrigued by the way the mind imbues form with meaning.
I work with acrylic paint on a range of materials from paper to plastic to wood.
My work has been displayed in a number of shows in the Washington D.C area since 2015 at venues like Studio Gallery and the Howard Theater.
